Bitcoin Paraguay and its solidarity aid

Happy children. The day was filled with games.
Instead of limiting itself to a celebration among tech enthusiasts, the Bitcoin Paraguay community turned May 22nd into a charitable action: using bitcoin to help more than 50 children and adolescents at Hogar Guadalupe in Asunción.
The event was organized in partnership with the Hogar Guadalupe Foundation and with the support of Penguin. The pizzas were not only paid for with bitcoin, but were also prepared and sold by the children at the home.
All proceeds were donated entirely to the Foundation, which supports children and adolescents in vulnerable situations.
Bitcoin Pizza Day is commemorated every May 22nd to remember the first purchase made with Bitcoin in 2010, when a programmer paid 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas.
